I am reading Hannibal by Thomas Harris. I have seen the movies, and I enjoyed them, so I thought I would read it. I think the author has good ideas, but his approach to writing them is mediocre at best. He has a very unoriginal writing style, with very "everyday" words. However, I would still read it because the plot is good enough to overlook his writing flaws. But maybe you'd be more comfortable hearing from professionals, so here's the Barnes and Noble review.
